This is yet another shot of the 3.30 Paddington to Penzance passing Southcote Junction. This time the locomotive is 6003 King George IV. The date is uncertain, but after the relaying of the junction in mid-1956. It could be as late as July 1958, when KGIV received its double chimney. The quarter plate negative posed some problems. The image was not entirely straight and the necessary cropping has resulted in the loss of the end of the train! There was also a "difficult" shadow just behind the near side of the buffer beam, but overall, I could not resist including this picture because the image of the train is so bright and clear.
